Why did we make a passwords app?

One day while I was at the doctors office with my 1 year old boy, I didn't have his social security number  to fill out a form; at this point in time it dawned on me that I need an app that I can store all of this information in one convenient place.

I was on the lookout for a passwords app that worked on all of my mobile devices and was simple. I wanted it to work on my Android phone and my iPad and my PlayBook depending on what device I had with me. There was nothing in the market that I liked so I decided to make Remember It.

Well show me the app!

The first thing you need to do is sign up for a new account by going here:

You will be presented with the following screen where you will enter your name, email, and password.

IMPORTANT: Your password is the key to unlock all of your information, we cannot recover your password or reset it. If you lose your password you wil not be able to access any of your data. Please store this password in an important place.

Next you will probably want to create a few categories so that you can organize your information, some categories might include:

  • Home Passwords (user name/password to websites you use from home)
  • Work Passwords (user name/password to websites you use from work)
  • Credit Cards (cc# or who to call if the card is stolen, etc)
  • Personal Information (ssn numbers, date of birth, etc)
  • Software licences

You can do this by clicking on the Category box above the Search field:

Once you add a few categories you are ready to start adding your information by clicking the + Add button (located above the category box) to create a new record. In each record you simply just type in the information and it is saved automatically!

Now the really cool part, no matter what device you are on, Mac, PC, iPad, iPhone, Android, PlayBook, you will still be able to access your information just by going to the web browser and heading to We are also putting the finishing touches on the native versions of the apps that you can find in their respective app stores.
